Marina Moura, MSTOM, L.Ac is a California licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. She studied Chinese medicine at Pacific Center of Oriental Medicine where she earned a Master's degree. During her studies, Marina had internships at the UCSD free seniors clinic working with the geriatric population. She also focused her electives on Japanese Meridian therapy, which is a gentler form of acupuncture that is great for children, patients new to acupuncture, those with needle phobia or sensitivity to needling. For the past 2 years Marina has been apprenticing with Adrian Bean, LAc and has been trained by him in CranioSacral therapy and visceral manipulation. Prior to this she studied Reiki, a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Marina earned her Bachelor's degree in health science and nutrition at San Jose State University where she laid the foundation for her Chinese medical studies. Marina has a passion for natural medicine and empowers her patients with the knowledge to help them take control of their health and healing. When she is not working or studying, Marina loves to spend time in nature hiking with her family and playing with her 2 small children.
