Kuni graduated from PCOM (cum laude) in San Diego, California in 1995 and was licensed shortly thereafter. Kuni has been a ‘General Practice’ Acupuncturist specializing in the treatment of pain related symptoms since that time. Professionally, she has practiced in pain clinics and was the President of East/West Acupuncture Center, Inc. for many years. With a strong emphasis on treating Work Comp Patients, she is a contracted provider for many Work Comp groups and is well versed in the reporting needs of today’s Work Comp system as well as the coordination of care needed with Patients primary Doctors. Kuni also treats Patients with personal injury cases and private insurance and is a contracted provider for the major health plans. Kuni held a private contract to provide services to Kaiser’s Pain Management Patients for 5 years. Their Patient’s now go through American Specialty Health, for which she is also a Contracted Provider.

Kuni’s experience in different clinical environments where she worked alongside Doctor's of differing specialties has given her an appreciation for each Doctor's area of expertise. She learned that mutual respect of each Practitioner's role in a Patients treatment yields the best results for the Patient. This broad perspective makes her a well rounded and skillful Practitioner.
