Emily Lee-Sablosky, MA, MT

I am a California Certified Massage Therapist and have received instruction at both International Professional School of Bodywork (IPSB) and Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Before surrendering to my true passions and embarking on my current pursuit of a Master's degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM), I completed a Master's degree in History of Science and Art from UCSD in 2007.

Always interested in learning new things as a way to connect on a deeper level with the people I come into contact, I use massage as a way to channel my various areas of interest and nourish the body, mind, and soul. Specializing in Traditional Thai Massage, I enjoy this modality most because of its potential for deep relaxation and meditation as well as the active interaction between the patient and the practitioner. Sessions include assisted yoga-style stretching and bringing focus to one's body and mind as a unified whole. Additionally, I also enjoy using integrative methods of massage that include swedish, circulatory, tui na, and deep tissue sculpting. Healing and relaxation is the point and, as such, I work closely with the acupuncturists at Pacific Center and The Healing Point to provide existing patients with the most therapeutic experience.

Apart from massage, though strangely related, I am a trained and practicing luthier and aspiring historian of musical instruments, lover of food, cooking, travel, regional crafts, tai chi, and natural history.
