Beverly graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in San Diego in 1994, cum laude, with a Masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 1998, she received National Board certification for Acupuncture Orthopedics. Beverly has done extensive post graduate studies that include training at the University of Beijing Hospital specializing in orthopedic and neurological disorders, classical Chinese medicine with an emphasis on internal disorders.

In addition to maintaining a private practice in Mission Valley, Beverly also worked in a group practice at Scripps Memorial medical offices for 7 years seeing primarily workers compensation cases. Beverly relocated her Mission Valley practice to Pacific Center in mid 2007.
